Handcarved monoxylous mask of the Baule Community of Cote d'Ivoire
100% handcrafted, a traditional mask of the Baule ethnic group that resisted invasion of French colonials longer than any other West African people. The mask with twin seated figures on headgear, represents powerful positive spiritual presence in its environ and was a significant mask during the fabled Goli festival. The solid attractive mask is carved out of Marina, known for durability and excellent wood grain and finish.
