DESCRIPTION

Among the large mammals of Africa, elephants are most threatened with extinction because of human action and two phenomena in particular: massive deforestation and poaching. Africa is home to nearly 400,000 elephants, of which just 5,500 are left in West Africa. In pre-colonial times (before 1893,) Côte d'Ivoire was probably home to one of the largest elephant populations in West Africa, that is next to extinction today.
We immortalize this mighty, magnificent and gentle animal in bronze as a sculpture that will share the narrative of this living legend with your progeny as well as your visitors.

1. Authentic traditional art of casting bronze from West Africa, called cire perdue or Lost Wax Technique.

2.100% hand modelled in wax, hand cast in bronze, copper and other alloys over a core of clay.

3. In direct lost-wax casting, every object produced is always unique and one-of-a-kind, as the mold is necessarily destroyed as part of the casting process. So, no two products are alike. They can be similar, but never the same.

4. Made in Africa.
