DESCRIPTION
This textile represents fresh new color combination of a traditional textile from Almolonga, Guatemala. It was woven by artisans using a back-strap loom, a time honored method of weaving. This pillow was made in partnership with a non-profit organization on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
What makes this pillow extra special? The pink and aqua silk accents.
Silk was used in Guatemala from the colonial times up until the 1960s, when synthetic rayon became favorable due to its low price. We love the antique ceremonial pieces that have silk, with its unparalleled richness. sheen and brilliant hues. We matched the antique silk quality in the USA and brought it to our weaving partners to add to some of our most special designs, and we are so happy with how it turned out!

Size 20” x 20“ is made to order. Allow approximately 8 weeks for delivery.
