My backyard garden brings me so much joy! I spend the summer tending my garden and growing my relationship with the flowers I paint. I paired a bouquet of dahlias, in a hand-me-down blue and white vase from my mother, with my great-grandmother's teacup.
I love to focus on details in the negative space of a painting. As it often happens in life, those in-between, ordinary moments are what gives life meaning and depth.
This original acrylic painting is on an 8 x 10 x 1.5 inch stretched canvas.
